Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 31, 2026

The short version: you can use ProteinThrive without an account, and your settings stay in your own browser. If you create an account, we store your email address and your plan status with our sign-in provider, Supabase. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see your full card number. If you look up nearby stores, the ZIP code or location you enter is sent to OpenStreetMap services to find them.

What we collect

• Data stored in your browser. The app saves your preferences on your device using your browser's local storage: servings, your shopping-list checkmarks, hidden pantry items, saved nearby stores, and your plan view. This data isn't sent to us. You can delete it any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings.
• ZIP code or location for store lookup. If you enter a ZIP code (or allow location) to find nearby grocery stores, it is sent to OpenStreetMap-based services: Nominatim for the ZIP lookup, and public Overpass API servers for nearby stores. Those services are run by third parties under their own privacy policies. ProteinThrive doesn't keep a copy on a server.
• Cookies set by partners. When you click a link to a partner (such as Instacart, iHerb, Chomps, Transparent Labs, MyProtein or Amazon), that site may set its own cookies, including affiliate cookies that credit ProteinThrive for a purchase. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
• Account email (if you sign up). Accounts are run with Supabase Auth. We store your email address, a securely hashed password if you choose one, and sign-in timestamps. We use your email to sign you in (including magic-link and confirmation emails) and for messages about your account or subscription. Your browser keeps a sign-in session in local storage so you stay logged in.
• Subscription status. If you subscribe, we store your plan, its status and renewal date, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs that link your account to your payment, so the app can unlock your plan.
• Payments. Checkout and the "Manage subscription" page are run by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to ProteinThrive, under Stripe's privacy policy. We may see limited billing information such as your plan, payment status and the last digits of your card.
• Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which may log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.

ProteinThrive doesn't sell your personal information and doesn't run its own advertising or tracking cookies.

Who processes your data

• Supabase stores accounts and subscription status (privacy policy).
• Stripe processes payments and runs the subscription management page.
• Netlify hosts the website.
• OpenStreetMap services handle the optional nearby-store lookup.

We'll update this page and its effective date before we change how we use your information.

Children

ProteinThrive isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices

• Clear your browser's site data to remove everything ProteinThrive stored on your device. This also logs you out.
• Cancel a subscription or update your card any time from Account → Manage subscription.
• To delete your account and its data, contact us (see below).
• Don't use the store lookup if you'd rather not share a ZIP code or location.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings to limit partner cookies.
